Since the launch of our free online magazine in July this year we have welcomed more people than ever to enjoy the fascinating stories and images of this incredible continent. One of the advantages of online publishing is that we can see exactly which stories and subjects people engage with most. This ensures that we publish the content that you enjoy.
In this countdown of the 10 most viewed stories and galleries in 2014 we take you from the cold highlands of Ethiopia, where a dedicated conservationist is helping Africa’s only wolves survive, to the hot sands of Namibia where the intimate rituals of Namibia’s Himba women are shared with us. Along the way we learn that the best journeys are those with little plan, and that even a little pangolin can make a big difference.
We hope you enjoy this selection of our very best stories and galleries and we look forward to bringing you even more in 2015. – Editor Anton Crone.
