ANISHA SHAH began her career as a Travel Journalist alongside her role as a TV & Radio News Reporter at the BBC for 6 years, culminating as the regional London Olympics TV News correspondent. An incessant traveller, Anisha’s name has graced the byline of leading international travel publications from Africa to the British Isles. Hearing tales of her father’s youth in Uganda, the essence of Africa was unwittingly infused in her lifeblood. Motivated by uncovering emerging destinations, she specializes in documenting lesser known people and places.
Anisha spends half the year exploring the African continent and is particularly fond of the East and Southeast. She is captivated by contrasting cultures, human nature, ecology and history. In BRIGHTER DAYS ON THE LAKE OF STARS she discovers a halcyon paradise on Lake Niassa which has transformed severely isolated Mozambican communities. Follow her travels on Twitter @anishahbbc
